Centre-based tours are all about traveling light weight which allows you to be comfortable and motivated throughout the long hours of exploration. Sri Lanka offers you some of the most interesting locations in the world to survey.

Start your journey in Sigiriya where you can explore the magnificent rock fortress of renegade king Kashyapa. Climb to the top of this great monument and take in the spectacular view and gaze upon the beautiful frescoes on these ancient walls. Head over to Polonnaruwa and ride amongst its ruins. Learn about Sri Lanka’s second oldest kingdom and prepare to be riveted with tales of its past.

Head to the hills of Sri Lanka and discover the colourful city of Kandy. Known as one of Sri Lanka’s cultural hotspots, you can take a tour of its heart and soul before exploring the breathtaking Knuckles mountain range.

Ride alongside the vast tea plantations and be witness to some of the most gorgeous scenery you are likely to come across in Nuwara Eliya. Blessed with a cool climate, this hillside haven is full of waterfalls, mountains and colonial-style architecture.

Get up close and personal with the birds and the beasts of the Horton Plains National Park, which is the country’s highest wildlife park. Catch a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s exotic endemics and migrant birds as well as the regal Sambar deer.

Then head to the rural villages in Belihuloya and get a taste of the island’s traditional lifestyle. Meet with the pleasant and hospitable folk who reside in these remote areas and feel what it is like to live the simple life.

Then gear up for some wild adventures in Udawalawe, which holds one of the country’s most revered national parks. Explore the varying terrain in this wildlife sanctuary and come face to face with its stunning wild inhabitants including the iconic Sri Lankan elephant.

Last of all head to the pristine beaches in Unawatuna where you can unwind and relax. Take a deep breath and soak up the sun while reflecting on the adventures you’ve had throughout this roller coaster ride.

This is your chance to experience all Sri Lanka has to offer. Pack light, as the Eco Team takes centre-based cycling in Sri Lanka to the next level.
