Tour Description

Take an intimate ride through some of Sri Lanka’s hidden gems. Understand what this beautiful island is all about by visiting some of the less-known attractions which offer you incomparable perspective into the country’s soul.

From your starting point in Negombo, you will ride to Sigiriya where you can climb the rock fortress of renegade king Kashyapa. Explore the inner workings of this architectural feat and learn more about the magnificent urban planning of old which makes this place a Sri Lankan treasure.

Explore the ruins of an ancient kingdom next. Polonnaruwa is the island’s second oldest kingdom and holds a very significant place in its history. Ride through paddy fields and rural villages in Dambana, where you can interact with the locals to feel the benefits of a cycling tour.

Head to the hill capital of Kandy next. This place holds a special importance in the hearts of Sri Lankans as it is considered the last bastion of the kings and also the guardian of the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Experience the unique vibes and culture of this hillside haven before heading further up to Nuwara Eliya. You can survey this mountainous landscape, with its tea estates and haunting colonial structures, while enjoying the cool climate.

Taste the traditional side of Sri Lanka with a closer look at its rural lifestyle. You have the chance to visit the villages in Belihuloya where you will be able to interact with the warm locals and understand what the simple life is all about.

The next segment of your journey will take you through the untamed sections of the island. Visit Udawalawe, where you will see exotic wild creatures including numerous species of colourful birds. The Udawalawe National Park is one of most revered parks in Sri Lanka and will ensure that you catch a glimpse of the iconic Sri Lankan elephant.

Visit the country’s largest rainforest Sinharaja which offers you the chance to observe countless species of flora and fauna before you head down south to Galle. Pristine beaches and warm waters await you in the southern capital of Galle. This coastal city not only boasts a beautiful coastline but also several historical sites to explore, making for the ideal final destination.

This tour is about giving you an experience that is unmatched as well as unique. This exclusive cycling journey through Sri Lanka’s hidden treasures will be the perfect antidote to the many uninspired tours of the beautiful island.
