This tour is a comprehensive cycling expedition of some of the most renowned Sri Lankan tourist attractions. Catch the best of Sri Lanka’s wild, historical, scenic and cultural attractions as you take a journey across its diverse terrain.

You will start your journey in Negombo, where the beaches are golden and the water is warm and inviting. Cycle to your first destination of Sigiriya, where a great rock fortress looms large. Explore this enigmatic fortress and its amazing surroundings before heading to Polonnaruwa, the country’s second oldest kingdom.

After cycling through the ruins of Polonnaruwa and learning about Sri Lanka’s glorious past, you will head towards its green hillside. Your first stop will be in the hill capital itself: Kandy. Adorned with its own unique culture and colour, Kandy is Sri Lanka’s second largest city and considered a cultural hotspot.

It’s over next to the mountainous retreat of Nuwara Eliya where vast green tea estates, colonial structures and breathtaking scenery come together with a cooling climate. Explore the Sri Lanka’s highest national park in Horton Plains and get close to the animals and birds that reside there.

Then head to Belihuloya for a taste of traditional Sri Lanka. Visit the villages in this area and interact with the rural folk that live there to truly understand the simplicities of traditional lifestyles on the island.

Next, it’s on to the national wildlife parks in Udawalawe and Yala, both with its own unique flavour. In Udawalawe, you’re sure to see the Sri Lankan elephant, which has come to be one of the country’s cultural icons. Yala is home to the largest contingent of leopards found in the country as well as the extremely elusive sloth bears. Both these parks boast a rich plethora of animal and bird species and are sure to delight the adventurer in you.

Lastly, head down to the southern coastline and laze around on the sunny beaches of Unawatuna. Bringing this cycling expedition to the perfect end, Unawatuna will help you unwind and relax before heading back home.

This all-encompassing tour will surely keep you on your toes throughout while giving you a personalised look into the great wonders of this island pearl.
