Itinerary Summary

This is a 14 day cycling tour created by Cycling Holidays Sri Lanka, from North to South on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. A moderate cycling trail which mostly enjoys less traffic, is on the flat terrain and tarmac roads, and offers diversified experiences blended with the natural beauty of the countryside and exposure to the diverse ethnic groups and their cultures.

Starting the Trail in the Jaffna Peninsula, we cycle to the northern tip of the Island known as Point Pedro. Riding on the A9 road and cycling to the north eastern part of Sri Lanka, enables you to experience the remains of the civil war which devastated the treasures of the country during a period of 30 years. Cycling Holidays Sri Lanka blends in variation, by taking you to the eastern coast of the island - a wonderful mix of landscape and diverse cultural experiences. Switch to a wildlife experience when you enter the buffer zone of Yala National Park. Heading down south, go back in time to historical Sri Lanka, when you catch sight of Galle Dutch Fort, a majestic fortress overlooking the ocean. Peddling further down to Dondra Point; the southernmost tip of the island, you will finally complete your North to South Cycling Experience in Sri Lanka.

At Cycling Holidays Sri Lanka, we endeavour to ensure that your cycling tours with us is an experience in itself and not just another peddling tour. Furthermore, this will be a discovery tour in a land with over 2500 years of history and culture, with an insight to a blending of diverse cultures and communities.
